Obesity is a serious health problem that affects millions of people. Researchers have found that people who are over their ideal body weight are more likely to suffer from heart disease, diabetes, arthritis and numerous other health conditions. Fortunately, there are a number of weight loss programs available to help people safely reach their goal weight. Below are three of the different types of weight loss programs:
Do it yourself program
Do it yourself weight loss programs are very popular because they are relatively inexpensive. A DIY program is where a person comes up with his own diet program based on the information that he finds on the internet, magazine, books and other resources. People who follow DIY programs often form support groups, which can help motivate others to lose weight.
These type of weight loss programs can be effective. However, most people will get better results if they work with a professional who is knowledgeable in the areas of nutrition and exercise.
Non-clinical programs
Non clinical weight loss programs are where counselors work together to help a person lose weight. It is important to note that these counselors may or may not have training in the areas of diet and exercise. These type of programs may also use pamphlets and books that are prepared by health care professionals. Non-clinical programs may also require that people take supplements along with their diet and exercise regime. Jenny Craig is an example of a non-clinical program.
Clinical programs
Patients are supervised by a licensed health care provider during a clinical weight loss program. Three examples of clinical weight loss programs include: very low -calorie diets, weight loss drugs and surgery. Very low-calorie diets have to be followed under the supervision of a health care provider because they can cause serious side effects. A person who is on a low-calorie diet usually consumes less than 800 calories per day.
A health care provider may also recommend that a person take weight loss drugs. There are a number of drugs on the market that can help burn fat and speed up the metabolism. These type of drugs can only be prescribed by a licensed health care provider and are not approved for long-term use.
Surgery is a last resort. A physician will usually not elect to perform surgery unless all other attempts to lose weight have failed. Liposuction and gastric bypass are two examples of weight loss surgery.
Gaining weight is easy, but losing it is a lot more difficult. Starting a weight loss program can help a person shed those extra pounds. A do it yourself weight loss program may be the right choice for a person who only has a couple of pounds to lose. Those who need additional help losing weight may chose to join a non-clinical program. People who are severely overweight and have health problems will usually have to join a clinical program. A health care provider can help a person choose the program that is right for him.

Depending on the type of drug a person uses, he or she will experience different drugs long term effects. It doesn’t matter if you think that pot is a soft drug and you will only do that drug because the others are hard drugs. That’s nonsense. Did you know that internationally, cannabis is considered to by as bad a cocaine, heroin, etc…? But let’s not get into a discussion which drug is softer than another, the truth is that all drugs have horrible drugs long term effects.
The information you will read here is the truth as it comes. No whichi-wachi nonsense. All the research has come from official pages of the United Nations, World Health Organization and more. Drugs long term effects will cripple the body’s ability to do something specific without drug use. This is why it’s do hard to overcome drug addiction, because of the drug’s long term effects.
Lets start with a popular-known drug called Methamphetamine, also known as “Meth,” and many more. This drug stimulates the brain ability to produce pleasure, and with repeated use, the long term drug effect will be horrible. It will literally “turn off” the brain’s ability to produce pleasure without the presence of Meth. Another popular known drug is Crack/Cocaine. It has very similar drug long term effects as Meth, but as a big extra long term drug effect, cocaine has the uniqueness of accompanying the short-lived euphoria by a “crash.”
This involves repeatedly falling into depressions, anxiety attacks, extreme fatigue and paranoia, as well as deterioration of general health. A common drug long term effect is to develop an extreme carving for more cocaine but will only result into more long term drug effects of depression, paranoia, etc…
Heroin is a brutal drug that produces drugs long term effects of kidney shut down, poisoning from contaminated spots of injection and even toxic leukoencephalopathy. Drugs long term effects associated to toxic leukoencephalopathy range from forgetfulness, inattention, and changes in personality to coma, dementia, and even death.
And for last, I left the drugs long term effects of marijuana. A single straw of marijuana contains more tar than you can find inside a whole pack of cigarettes. Somehow, it has been widely thought that smoking a cigarette is worse that smoking pot, while in reality it’s completely the other way around. Other marijuana drugs long term effects can be homosexual tendencies, impotence, and serves as a welcome door to other drugs as well.
Drugs kill, ands that’s that, not matter which drugs long term effects they have. If you think someone close to you is using, talk to him and consider a drug rehab center immediately.

“The world is hugged by the faithful arms of volunteers.” ~Terri Guillemets. Every year there are thousands of travelers who get arrested because of using and trafficking drugs and alcohol. Most of them are told of the promise of riches after trafficking drugs from one country to another or one region to the other. The travelers are lied to that there is little risk involved and the plan is full proof but in reality more than half of them get arrested. Apart from trafficking, using drugs could also land the volunteers in prison. Every country has strict laws against consumption of drugs and alcohol, and when found with the drugs, the volunteer will be severely punished. The volunteers will be taken to prison and their chances of getting out are very slim. When the travelers are presented in court they are hugely disadvantaged because the trial is in the local language, the judges are already prejudiced against them and getting a good defense is very hard. Many convicted travelers describe their experience as horrific and strongly advice against travelers who want to use or traffic drugs. Here are some drugs to avoid:
Cocaine
Cocaine powder, freebase and crack are all forms of cocaine. They are stimulants with powerful, but short-lived, effects. The stimulants temporarily speed up the processes of your mind and body. ‘Freebase’ cocaine and ‘crack’ cocaine, can be smoked, and so can reach the brain very rapidly in high dosage. Cocaine increases breathing, heart rate and blood pressure. It may produce eating and sleeping disorders and violent and erratic behavior. It can also cause respiratory problems, convulsions and cardiac or respiratory arrest. Cocaine is illegal in every country. Cocaine is not easy to come by but it is common in Latin America. In the USA, crack cocaine is the only drug for which there is a federal mandatory minimum, if found guilty one could spend 5 years in prison. The penalties include; life imprisonment, death sentences and a couple of years in jail depending on the amount of cocaine that they are found with.
Heroine
Heroin is an opiate drug that is synthesized from morphine, a naturally occurring substance extracted from the seed pod of the Asian opium poppy plant. Heroin usually appears as a white or brown powder or as a black sticky substance, known as “black tar heroin. Heroin can be injected, snorted/sniffed, or smoked—routes of administration that rapidly deliver the drug to the brain. All three methods of administering heroin can lead to addiction and other severe health problems. Users feel a surge of euphoria and then alternate between wakeful and drowsy states for several hours. Heroin also makes physical pain disappear. The negative effects of heroine are Nausea, vomiting and severe itching are common reactions. Users can’t think clearly and experience mood swings. Large doses can reduce breathing so much that users slip into a coma and may die. Heroine is illegal in most countries and when caught in possession it could lead to life imprisonment or a death sentence.
Cannabis
It is also called marijuana, hashish, hash, pot, herb, weed, grass. Cannabis is a drug that comes from Indian hemp plants such as Cannabis sativa and Cannabis indica. The active chemical in cannabis is THC. Users feel relaxed, free and open; they may become talkative or withdrawn and experience food cravings. Users experience problems with memory, thinking and problem solving, loss of coordination and increased heart rate. Some users feel severe anxiety. People smoke marijuana around the world. In some countries, like Switzerland and the Netherlands, it is legal to buy. In other places it has all but been decriminalized. In Texas possession of even a small amount of marijuana can get you up to 6 months in jail. In Malaysia getting caught with 200 grams of marijuana merits a mandatory death sentence.
Alcohol
It is a socially acceptable drug. Alcohol is a depressant which slows down the body’s responses. Effects of alcohol depend on a number of factors, including a person’s size, weight, age, and sex, as well as the amount of food and alcohol consumed. Alcohol will often exaggerate whatever mood you’re in when you start drinking. Alcohol is a relaxant so, in moderation, it can reduce feelings of anxiety and inhibitions, making you feel more sociable. Long-term effects of consuming large quantities of alcohol, especially when combined with poor nutrition, can lead to permanent damage to vital organs such as the brain and liver. In addition, mothers who drink alcohol during pregnancy may give birth to infants with fetal alcohol syndrome. Alcohol consumption is legal in most countries except from Middle East countries. In America it is illegal for people under the age of 21 while in other countries it is 18 and younger
